windows going crazy - programmes opening and closing

D

Douglas

I can be working away on any programme and my PC suddenly takes on a
life of it's own - opening new programmes, start menu, etc., shutting
others, the cursor flying arond the screen - then after a few seconds
it stops.

I have norton antivirus continually running, but thinking a vrius had
got through i've run several spyware/adware programmes and also run
windows defender - they all say my system is clean.

It seemed to start a few days after I'd installed a new multimedia
keyboard and driver, so I've deleted them but the problem still
occurs.

Does anyone have any ideas why this is happening and what i can do?
(Hopefully reinstalling XP is a last resort).
Cheers
Douglas

Does that mean you have gone back to your old keyboard, if not try it
or another.
