After buying a used computer, I've found that the copy of Windows XP Pro in
it was not a legal copy. I've gone to the site to purchase the Windows
Genuine Advantage Kit and filled out the Online Counterfeit Report. The
problem is - it doesn't allow me to put in the approximate date of purchase
in, which I don't even know. I'm at a total lost on who to contact and where
to proceed.. Any help would be greatly appreciated..
Thanks,
RadTad

I know when I bought the computer but I have no idea when the person
installed XP.. I bought the computer used..

I will assume you have XP Pro since it is not legit. If this is the case
then type the following in the command prompt

systeminfo

There you will find the original install date unless a repair install was
performed. By the way, you cannot run systeminfo for XP Home.
