Windows freeze, computer slow, etc.

This problem has only happened to me on Compaq Presarios.
I have Windows XP Home Edition, and my CPU Usage is
ALWAYS at 100%. Also, windows freeze up when I do
something, and everything is just slow. I'm always
scanning for virus only to see that nothing is infected.
Know what the worst part is? I've only had this computer
for 2 and 1/2 months.

It is the second time this has happened to me. Is there
anything I can do to stop this and make my computer run
like it should?

Adrian, Virus is not the only enemy out there. Try doing a check for
spyware, adware and trojans.

Are you using a Firewall to protect your system?

Spyware causes many problems. If not installed download Adaware and update
Reference file from http://www.lavasoftusa.com/support/download/
and use it to remove parasites.

If you are still encountering unexplained processes after trying these
measures then you might look at trying other more sophisticated spyware
tools.
