We have a folder for video files, which we've put in the My Documents
folder. Someone told me that all graphic files should go inside the My
Pictures folder. Does it matter? If so, what is the advantage?

It's really doesn't make a difference where you place your video files - a
folder called My Videos is just as valid. Use the organizational structure
that works best for you, just as saving all multimedia files to My Pictures
works best for this other person.

No. Actually there is usually a My Videos folder. The only point is to
keep files of different character separately stored, so that the folders
can be customised for their needs

Thanks Alex. I never had a My Videos folder, but I notice in the corner of
my Videos folder an image of a strip of film, so I guess Windows "knows"
that this folder contains video clips.
