Is it possible to turn off Windows Firewall in the office and have it turned
on at home (Laptop user) via GPO

Have a look at "Computer Configuration/Administrative
Templates/Network/Network Connections/Windows Firewall/" - you can there
assign settings for the domain profile and the standard profile. Maybe
this is what you were searching for.
