windows file or ad clicker

I ran a virus scan from McAfee and it said a file in the root directory of
my C drive was an ad clicker The file name is ht.hta Is this a
windows file or something I can safely delete. I did back it up to
diskette.

program. It isn't a place for "public access" to Microsoft. Try posting your
question in a more appropriate newsgroup, perhaps:

microsoft.public.security.virus

Or look on the McAfee website..
