I'm running XP Pro. Windows Explorer defaults to tile
view. How can I get it to default to "details"
 
Open Explorer and click View and tick Details. Now click
Tools/Folder Options/View tab and click Apply to All
folders. Then click "yes" for settings.
 
In windows explorer, under tools, choose folder options
and then the view tab. Press "apply to all folders"
(provided you have already set up the view the way you
want it)
