My Windows Explorer on my pc keeps crashing. It asks me whether I want to
send a report to Microsoft or not.
I select "send" and it does its thing, then stops.

I have searched the Microsoft Newsgroups who have told me this report is for
Microsoft only, and they don't contact you.

My problem really is that Windows Explorer crashes when I go into a folder
(any folder). It keeps doing this no matter what. I have tried the
newsgroups and got confused. I even did a restore back to last week, and
that didnt do the trick.

Can anyone help me?

I don't have a definite answer for you, but I had a similar problem and it
ended up being an HP printer driver that was causing a conflict. Have you
possibly installed some new hardware or updated a driver recently?

<sarcasm> Now-why-doesn't-that-surprise-me?</sarcasm>

Try opening WExp manually
Start -> Run -> c:\windows\explorer.exe

If that solves the problem just create a new icon with the path
c:\windows\explorer.exe /n,/e,c:
(note space between .exe and /n)

Plato,
Ive never had to install ram.

I do remember I tried to updated I think Apple Quicktime (not sure) and I
cancelled it, but am sure I removed it all.

I have also done windows updates lately. Could it be that?

Steam3801,
Its not as such a problem with explorer.exe

If i open a folder, or properties on a document, it crashes.
