HELP URGENTLY NEEDED PLEASE - Some of my programs
in 'startup' are no longer running. When I view Task
Manager, Processes, it shows Windows Explorer.exe running
at between 40% CPU & 100% CPU & the System Idle running at
between 40% CPU & 75% CPU despite there being no
applications running.
a) Is this why the other 'startup'programs are not running?
b) How can I find out what's using all this CPU resource?
c) How can I check what's running in 'background'?
d) When using applications e.g Word, response time is
very slow.

Hope someone can help me soon.

Hello

Some things I can think of is :

*Scan with some good Antivirus with latest updates.
*Get MSConfig, and see which programs are scheduled to run
on startup.
*Paste here the details of processes tab of Task Manager here.

Hope it helps
