Windows explorer window suddenly lost toolbars

Sometime between last night and this AM my WindowsXP sp2 suddenly
decided to no longer display the toolbars, which normally display File,
Edit, etc. on one line, Back, Forward, Up one level, Search etc. on the
second line; and the Address Window on the third line.

There must be a setting that allows these to be toggled but I don't know
how to get to it.

Anyone know?

Have you tried View / Tollbars from the explorer menu?

That didn't quite work. However, I finally found the combo of words for
google that worked: "windows explorer toolbar" and found this:
