windows explorer settings

my windows explorer has lost its toolbars and menu bars,
al i get is a small grey box on the lefthand column with
folders wrote in it.
i cannot get the default menus back like in my computer.
 
What happens if you F11 ?

Thanks Dave, i have now got the toolbars back and i just
need to set them up.
