Bob

when I'm in windows explorer and I try to right-click on
my C/D/E drive to check the properties of the drives,
windows installer comes on and it starts trying to
install roxio cd/dvd 6.0. I have to cancel this out a
couple of times before it opens up the properties of the
drive. What is going on with this? It just started
tonight and I installed roxio over a year ago.

Hi Bob,

For starters, go to Search and type in: autorun.inf

Good luck!

how do I go about doing that, Kelly?
thanks,
Bob

Kelly,
you're going to have to give me more info on how to do
this. All you're telling me to do is search for the file
autorun.inf. When I did that, several came up, but while
the search was being done, the windows installer
constantly kept coming up and I had to keep stopping it.
I couldn't get it to stop, and I don't know which, if
any, of the autorun.inf files I should delete. Please
don't just tell me to search for them. What do I do when
I find them, and which ones, if any, should I delete?

I think I fixed it. I put the Roxio cd in like it asked
for and it must have needed to install something. The
problem is solved for now.
thanks for getting me started on it.

Hi Bob,

For the next time, rename them all. Everyone that shows up.
