Windows Explorer error message when turning on PC

Can anyone help? Every time I turn on my PC I get a
windows explorer error message which asks to be sent to
microsoft. I have been onto the support site and found
nothing to explain this.

Any ideas on a solution - much appreciated

What does the message say? More information is required to provide a

This sounds like what my explorer has been doing also. I
close a window and then I get a message that says "an
error has occurred" and asks if you want to send an error
report to Microsoft. I always say yes to this. Then it
closes all my open windows. I have looked and cannot
find any info to tell me what kind of error it is,
however, if I use Netscape this does not happen. I like
explorer much better, but this is terrible.

The error creates a file LOCALS-1\Temp\WER8.tmp.dir01
\appcompat.txt
