Windows Explorer Create New Folder Shortcut Keys

For some time I have created a new folder by pressing ALT + F + W + F
But recently the 'W' is selecting an item 'Work Offline' which I hadn't seen
before and don't particulaly want to see.
I know I can use the right arrow to select the 'F', but does anyone know
where this change came from or how to remove the 'Work Offline' item from
the menu?

<pst> That's in an Internet Explorer window, not a Windows Explorer window.

In an IE window, ALT+F+W = clicking on File | Work offline.

Reasonable answer, but I can assure you that it was appearing in the Windows
Explorer window as I indicated.
I've since unloaded Internet Explorer 7 and reloaded with IE8 and the Work
OffLine item has now disappeared. There must be some link between the two
applications which got screwed up??

All's well that ends well, I guess. (But I suspect you did have an IE or an
OE window open in the background at the time and that this window had the
focus when you used that shortcut...or that you may have had a "horked"
install of IE7.)

Yep. I suppose I could.
Alternatively, you could use a word which every one knows and uses instead
of jargon.

Thanks for the reply, but your 'suspicion' is wrong - as I thought my 2
previous posts indicated.

I've found an answer to my original question.
If you start Windows Explorer using the command line 'explorer.exe /e', the
window which opens appears to be the normal Explorer window with folders in
the left pane and files in the right etc.
Closer examination shows that the title bar displays 'Windows Internet
Explorer' and the File menu offers the list as per my intitial post.
Changing the command line by adding 'c:\' seems to overcome the problem and
displays the normal Explorer window and menu.
I'm using IE7, which someone suggested is the problem, but I'm reasonably
sure that the problem is more recent than my install of IE7. Perhaps another
MS update???
