Windows Explorer and xp accesibility

Hi,

1. Whenever I login my computer, I generally use Windows Explorer to
navigate between files. I would be very very useful and simple if microsoft
place the windows explorer Icon in the start menu or desktop.

2. The Windows XP startmenu displays the frequently accessed programs. But
since it is very dynamic it is annoying and greatly reduces my accessbility.
I am not getting what I expect on the screen.

Though the concept of recent programs is good, I think the way it is
presented to the users is not good. My suggestion to microsoft is to create a
folder called Recent programs in start menu, and place all the recent
programs inside that folder.

3. I have so many application in my machine, that the startmenu -> Programs
is very cluttered and each time I find it difficult to choose my program.
The simpler way is I can type the exe name in the run command. But often I
could not remember the exe name for all the programs. Is it possible to
define a userfriendly name for the applications and the user can launch the
app by typing the user friendly name. Eg) Microsoft can list all the
applications that matches the search criteria and the user selects the
application easily. Example: photoshop, video player, album

Thanks,
Samson

Just how much 'hand-holding" do you want? What you are referring to are
personal preferences --- which is exactly why XP allows you to very easily
put a Windows Explorer icon on the Desktop yourself (it's called My Computer
now, by the way).
And you can do almost anyhting you like with the 'Start - All Programs' menu
to tidy it up. Make new folders in it -- put other folders inside the new
folder --- move some from there and put them on the Desktop instead. XP is
fully customisable, as it needs to be for millions of people with different
needs and tastes. But YOU have to put the effort in to get it that way --
it's all part of the learning process as much as using an application.
