I get this message when I try to send messages or receive- can anyone help?

The connection to the server has failed. Account: 'Shannon', Server:
'shaw.ca', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10061,
Error Number: 0x800CCC0E

Has the account ever working in Windows Mail? (I doubt it.)

Contact your ISP for the correct settings (e.g., incoming & outgoing
servernames & ports).

Yes it wrked with this account before- I had to replace my hard drive and now
am reloading everything, I can not remember the settings I used before.

I now get this error message

Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10061, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E

So I now have the correct setting with the ISP and i get this message

Subject 'LYLE SIM decision (SS)', Account: 'Shaw Email (tscampbell1)',
Server: 'shawmail.ok.shawcable.net', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '250
SIZE 29360128', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): Yes, Server Error: 250, Error Number:
0x800CCC7D

Shannon, on the advanced tab of your account settings, remove the check mark
from any SSL boxes>apply>ok.

Move that message 'LYLE SIM decision (SS)' from your Outbox to the drafts
folder.

Try sending a simple test message to yourself.

Please post any new error messages.
