Every time I install something new, afterwards when I try to open
something it gives me the message WINDOWS DISC ERROR( cancel, retry,
or continue). Sometimes it will do it when I try to open my browser
(opera). I can click either continue or cancel and MOST of the time
it will still work. Usually after restarting a once or twice it want
do it anymore. This is very wierd I hope someone can help!! Thanks

josh,
My son in law went on a trip and unplugged the computer but when he came
back and turned it on he also had a disk error message and it will not boot
but I did not try to cancel it all I did was control-alt-delete and it
reboots to just do it again. So I also need advice on this. I have the
computer and was going to look at it Sat.

Thanks
Randy

Open the case, unplug, then plug in cables, especially those to the hard
drive and motherboard. I just think it's more likely that an unused
component would get a dirty connection from non-use than think it would
suddenly go bad otherwise.
