I don't succeed in installing windows defender on xp home service pack3! the
error message is: "Protection client found microsoft. To remove the product
and to again perform the installation."

Is Microsoft Security Essentials installed?

If so, this is normal--MSE includes Windows Defender's functions.

it was microsoft security essential the problem, I have removed him,
installed windows defender and installed microsoft security essential,
everything now works. Thanks Francesco
