Windows Defender & Windows Live OneCare

Was reading about Windows Live OneCare which is on sale commercially for $49
per year for 3 machines. The Info states that it integrates with Windows
Defender to protect against spyware/adware/etc.

Is Windows Defender part of the Live OneCare product, and if so is it a full
final version, or still a Beta version like the stand alone WD Beta 2 that we
are talking about in this discussion group, that is being sold or included in
the commercial product?

Reason it comes up is that WD Beta2 still has components that don't function
properly, such as the exception section, and its not recognizing lots of well
known applications, and drivers, and even ones such as Visual Studeo.Net
owned by Microsoft.

OneCare intefaces with Windows Defender. Download installs of OneCare, in
my experience, prompt the user to download Windows Defender as well. This
is the same beta code the rest of us are using.

I'm told that OneCare media contains Windows Defender on the media as well.
I don't know what version of Windows Defender that would be, but I doubt
that it is newer than what is publicly available to the rest of us.
