Windows Defender updates?

I have installed Windows Defender and it updated itself during the
install but since then it never seems to do any updates? I can't seem
to find any option to see if there are any updates for it?

Any ideas please?

go to Windows Update site and check for updates.

If you look closely you will see it advices that it updates automatically
just before it does a scan. I think the info is under tools!
