Windows Defender Update Problem

My windows defender progam show warning about no updates. I have removed &
reinstalled to no avail. Tried Fix 915105. No Help. Downloaded Windows
Defender (KB915597). Still shows updates need to be refreshed. recieve
Error 0x8007064c. Looked thru other posts and found same error with fix but
when I tried them no luck. Any ideas???

Hello Flagrasil,

Can you gº to Windows Update, select Express (Get high-priority updates),
and apply all offered updªtes
http://update.microsoft.com

Once that is finished, can you verify the update installs? There are many
pre-requisite files which are needed from windows update and signature update
with windows defender will fail until you hªve these files.

This is what you should have at the end.
WD v. 1.1.1347.0
Engine v. 1.1.1372.0
Signature v. 1.14.1436.4

I had read and tried your suggestions to others. Your help is really GREAT!
I verified that I had download successfully Signiture v. 1.14.1436.4.
Defender still reads "15 days since last Update". I'm hoping the updates
downloaded from Windows Updaters are doing the job in spite of what Defender
reads. Again your help to many is great and keep it up. Ray

I have already tried solution "915105" with neg results. Sorry i forgot to
advise before.

Sorry when I wrote 915105 I ment 918355. Didn't work. When i look at
download history it shows successful download of "Definition Update
1.14.1436.4 for BETA Windows Defender (KB915597)". I'm still recieving Error
0x8007064c. Thanks Ray
