I`m still waiting for the `yellow shield` to appear in the notification
area. Do you have release times etc? Time here is 2140 BST 8/8/06. For the
purpose of this experiment, I`m not initiating anything either via WU site or
WD Help>About - just letting Windows do its job.

Tim,

British Summer Time .... We have this quaint custom of winding the clocks
forward one hour over here between March and October to give us extra
daylight hours for summer. Its effectively GMT +1 this time of year. :)

windows on one computer doesn't do its job- two days and no updates, the
only way the shield woke up is when i clicked on check for updates in WD
robin

We Yanks have the same quaint custom as you Brits, except that we call it
Daylight Savings Time.

So if ever you notice CDT (Central Daylight Time) in place of CST (Central
Standard Time), you will know that we have been saddled with the same
"problem". Then again, there are obstinate portions of the country that just
can't seem to get it straight (e.g, portions of Indiana and Arizona). Funny
people, we humans.
 
"Delta", in engineering-speak, means differential.

In computerese it refers to an increment (of a variable).

Always anxious to clarify (or confuse) at the drop of a hat. ;-)
