HI Bob:
Correct, but it was on 12/30/2006, when the new Windows Live OneCare
1.5.1882.4 integrated it under Virus and Spyware 1.10.1951.6. More
expirations will be comming...Norton,Karpesky,...Panda. Try WLOC 1.5, its
very good.

Just what does this mean in layman terms to us? Sorry for my ignorance, but
is this a problem for the rest of us?

Does this just apply to WD with OneCare? Or are all pc's with just WD
affected? Will MS no longer update WD through automatic updates? I am
confused - sorry. Appreciate any insight you might give. Thanks.

The GUI won't come up, but the scheduled scan still ran at 2:10 am on mine.

I assume from what I've read elsewhere that the service will fail to start
the next time I reboot, so I just won't do that until I get rid of this old
box ;^)

Better buy a new PC so I can run Defender! (Of course I'm kidding...)

Sorry - guess I can't read - turning red - embarrassed! Now I get the
picture, I think
