I recently downloaded Windows Defender for use on Windows 2000. I tried to
do a manual scan and it goes for about a minute and fifty seconds and will
scan about 23K files. The green scanning indicator keeps going but it
freezes up at one minute and fifty. When I click stop scanning I get a
message saying that "Windows Defender encountered error 0x80070564". I would
appreciate any advice on what this problem could be.
