Size is only 273kb, and it will not trigger a system restore point

As always, if you need the Full Engine and Full Defs update
[for example after a new install/reinstall of Defender]
you can get it at the Microsoft Malware Protection Center:

The full MPAS-FE is currently 10.9 MB

Hi Tim, After your post i checked WU and no update was available so i went to
Defender and used Check For Updates and no update was available. So know i am
curious on how defender updated to your #'s and i have Download but let me
choose when to install checked, any clues ? Thanks Ron

Hi Ron,

Sorry for not replying earlier, was a busy day yesterday.
Is this still the case, have you still not gotten the update ?

Sometimes the various servers for updates are not in sync and some may show
it before others, but the delay should not be too long.

What version numbers do you currently have, when did you get your last
update, what method did you use?

Tim, I wait for you to post and then i update manually, this time it seems i
already
had the update before you posted. I (think) it updated automatically when it
shouldn't have, now i have to watch the next update to see. Thanks
