windows cannot open this file

Help-
When my computer booted up today, my spyware softwasr (lavasoft) said that a
file was trying to alter my registry. I told it to block, and now none of my
icons will work. When I click on them i get "windows cannot open this file".
I have tried everything I can think of from several system restores, to
purchasing a registry cleaner. Nothing is working.

I downloaded the linkfile file, but it will not run because of the same
problem, windows cannot..... I tried opening it under the run command, but it
seems that the only files I can get to run here (after I tell windows what
type of program it is) is .exe files.

No, it is all files. Nothing will run.
