windows can not start

Having a error when I start up my system.I get this : windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt: <windows root>\system32\notoskrnl.exe
Can't find this file any were?

Set the BIOS to boot CD before Hard Disk. Boot the XP CD and, instead
of Setup, take the immediate R for Repair. Assume any password
requested is blank, and TAB over.

Give
COPY C:\Windows\system32\dllcache\ntoskrnl.exe
C:\windows\system32\ntoskrnl.exe

That is all on one line - it will probably wrap at the space
Note the spelling it is ntoskrnl not notoskrnl
