windows boot up

I run Windows XP. For some reason, when I turn the
computer on, windows always opens up explorer (file
manager) and it's open to the C:windows/system32 folder.
How can I get it not to open up explorer when I turn my
computer on. My prior post said win32 not system32. My
bad.
