No idea, as I've never tried - and have no intention of trying to install it
either...!

However, although not free, this is superb for both 32-bit and 64-bit Vista:

Not the one from XP, but there is an available version for vista
downloadable from Microsoft. Unfortunately it only performs the restore
part, not the backup.
