How can I obtain a Windows 98 restoration disc. I have been told that if I install Windows XP that it would slow my computer down considerably....any suggestions?????? Thank you!

If you wish to format your hard disk then you simply boot the PC with your
WinXP CD. It will give you the option of reformatting before installing
WinXP.

Yes, WinXP is much heavier on the PC than Win98 was. Get a faster PC if it's
too slow!

There's only one source for a replacement OEM Recovery CD: the
PC's manufacturer.

The point is I'd much rather get a new restoration disc for a small price and use Windows 98 on my very satisfactory computer, than buy a new faster computer. How can I get a new restoration disc from Microsoft??? Thanks.

Okay, Ikabob, lissen up!

Open your ears REAL WIDE and listen good.

YOU CAN'T GET A RESTORE DISK FROM MICROSOFT!!!

Microsoft didn't manufacture your computer. Microsoft has no idea what
hardware might be inside your computer. There's only one place that has this
information ... the company that mnufactured your computer.

If you need a restore CD, then contact the manufacturer of the compute not
Microsoft.

Okay, ya' got that? Good.
