windows 98 monitor problem

I having a problem with my monitor reverting back to 600x480
resolution. I change it to 1024x800 and everything is fine
that session, but next time I startup its back to the old
settings. I downloaded the latest drivers. Any suggestions?

ummm...this is a windowsXP beta newsgroup. Just how does a monitor on a
Win98 machine fit into here?

I agree this is windows XP beta newsgroup but I'll give you a little tip.
Open the display settings and check that adapter and monitor is set
correctly for the hardware you're using.
