Windows 7 start menu

Hi. Can anyone tell me were the start menu is stored in windows. I
moved a shortcut for adobe out by mistake instad of copying it. Most
of the folders in windows are padlocked even though I have selected to
show hidden files etc.

Assuming your Win7 is on C, the main start menu is here:

C: > Program Data > Microsoft > Windows > Start Menu.  Most folders andfiles are in
the Programs folder.
