Windows 7 RC1 & GAC operations

I upgraded from XP to Windows 7 RC1. In the old days I was able to drag and
drop an assembly in the GAC from the Administration console. "Managed
assemblies" it was called I think.

With Windows 7 RC1 I don't see these menu items anymore in the Adminitrative
tools.

I've read suggestions to drop the dll to %windir%/assembly, but I don't
seems to have the right for that. Trying to run the explorer in
'administration' mode did not solve it as well.

So what are other people doing with Windows 7 to manage their GAC?
