Windows 32bit - 64bit

I have just installed my Windows OS on a clean network on a 32bit
machine. But I want to migrate this harddrive to a different PC with a
64bit processor and different hardware in general. Will a windows
repair suffice? The reason I have chose to do this is two fold. I have
roomates that have virus infected PC's. Without being able to
slipstream a SP2 iso or get the updates installed I was constantly
getting tons of netbios attacks and viruses. So I took my machine to
work, and installed all the updates, zonealarm, disabled dcom, norton,
etc.

So will taking this harddrive home and running a repair allow this OS
to boot on the new hardware?

Any other advice?

In theory yes, but once running ensure you update drivers from manu
sites/cd's and dont rely on win default drivers.

For sure, I was just wondering about going from 32bit to 64bit. I've
done this before with 32bit machines. I'll post my findings tomorrow!
