Windows 2008 standard server

S

Sarfraz Malik

Can not boot the server. Getting error message." can not find file
c:\windows\system32\config\system"
Try to do repair with system disk, can not see the volume drive.
Can I create a bootable CD from other 2008 standard server and boot this
server to see if I can see the drives. Thanks.

Possibly, but you can most likely do the same with other bootable CDs,
including a DOS disk that has NTFS support.

As for the way you are suggesting, if the hardware is different on the two
servers, it can be problematic.
