I have a Windows 2003 Small Business Server, which we are trying to enable remote administration on. This server was upgraded from Windows 2000 + Exchange.

This server has no Remote tab on the system properties. So we can't figure out how to enable

Thoughts?

P.S. I could not find a 2003 server group so I am posting here.

Thanks for your help.

Remote Desktop Shortcuts Missing After Upgrade
View products that this article applies to.
SYMPTOMS
When you upgrade from Microsoft Windows 2000 with Internet Information
Services (IIS) to Microsoft Windows Server 2003 or Windows XP, Remote
Desktop Connection does not appear in the Start menu or the System
Properties list.
CAUSE
This may occur if permissions on the \Inetpub directory or the
\Inetpub\Adminscripts directory deny full control to the local System
account.
RESOLUTION
To restore the Start menu shortcuts:
In Windows Explorer, right-click \Inetpub\Adminscripts, and then click
Sharing and Security.
On the Security tab, click Add, type System, click OK, grant the account
full control, and then click OK.
Insert the Windows 2003 Server CD, click Perform Additional Tasks, and then
click Setup Remote Desktop Connection.
Accept the license agreement, click Next, click Next again, and then click
Install. Click Finish when installation is complete.
Exit the CD.
To restore the System Properties Remote tab:
In Windows Explorer, right-click \WINNT\system32\remotepg.dll, and then
click Open With.
In the next dialog box, click Open With, click Select the program from a
list, and then click OK.
Click Browse, and then locate \WINNT\System32\regsvr32.exe.
Select this file, click Open, and then click OK.
WORKAROUND
Although the shortcuts have not been installed, Remote Desktop Connection
is installed. You can run Remote Desktop Connection by calling the
executable file as follows:
Click Start, and then click Run.
Type mstsc.exe, and then click OK.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products
that are listed at the beginning of this article.
