i have windows 2000 XP professional......
when i log in to the domain from this PC it takes long time even not leting me log on.....it hungs

this PC is giving problem with all the user accounts.
 
So, is it Win 2K or Win XP?

Not that it should make much difference to your problem...
 
Your slow logins are most likely caused by two problems.. or both.

1. Do you have any roaming profiles enabled on your domain user accounts..?
2. DNS needs fixing on your network.

Answer question 1 for me and Il tell you how to fix number 2 :)
