windows 2000 upgrade

When upgrading from windows 98 to windows 2000 I keep on
receiving this fault WINNT32 caused an invalid page fault
on module kernel 32.DLL @2 0177:bff8836d. I cannot get
pass this to complete my upgrade to windows 2000.

Make sure you clean boot the 98 install and turn off antivirus before
upgrading.
