Windows 2000 update problem

Sorry to post this in the XP forum but the Win2000 forums aren't too active.

Every day Windows 2000 automatic update finds the same new update
(KB832483), downloads it and installs it. It never "takes." Next day (some
times more than once a day) it finds the new updates and goes thru the same
routine. Any idea why Windows doesn't recognize that the update has been
installed?

Visit winupdate site and manually update.
When it fails, run update again, once completed (ie shows whats available)
view update history.
The failed one will have a '?' icon, click on this for an explanation and
hopefully resolution.
PS you should have posted to either public.win2000.windows_update or
public.windowsupdate
