Windows 2000 to XP

Can I use XP Professional Educational/Student to upgrade Windows 2000?
Note I want to upgrade not full install.

From what I understand it is a full version under a different license.

As long as the cd supports upgrade functionality, yes you should be able to.
Start Windows 2000 and then insert the XP Pro cd. Click on Install on the
splash screen when it appears and the software will tell you if upgrading is
not supported.
