Windows 2000 Server

Hi!,

Am planning to buy a new server with a little confusion,
regarding the advantage and disadvantage of my NOS
Windows 2000 Server.

Say, Im planning to buy a Pentium IV, 2.8 GHZ of
Processor and expanded the RAM to 5GB with the total
capacity of HDD 5 x 36.4GB.

Now my question is, doest this specification still
compatible with my NOS, IS there any issue regarding this
matter.

Please advise asap and really appreciate your response.

Merry X' MASS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR.

THANKS AND BEST REGARDS
ARMAND

That's some server.... It most certainly will run Windows 2000 Server (and
one hell of a lot more.....). One thing I'd suggest would be look at a dual
processor machine vs. all that drive and memory. You have a lot of memory
and hard drive capacity. Whether you need it or not depends on what you are
going to do. You are talking a lot of money being spent. Is this a "server
class" machine or is it a "workstation class" machine? Give us some more
specifics on the hardware and the applications you will be running as well
as how many users will be connecting to and/or run applications on the
server. Also, some specifics about the environment (number of servers and
users, etc.) will be helpful.
