Windows 2000 Server acting funny since 7/27/05 or so?

If your Windows 2000 server (possibly other OS also) has been presenting the
following symptoms since 7/27/05, it is likely the solution below will solve
your problems --

Symptoms -
Windows Update page crashes, but other websites work
Symantec Autoprotect disables itself
Updated virus definitions do not get pushed out to clients

Check to see if you have APC Powerchute 6.x installed. This is likely
causing your problem. Remove it or upgrade to 7.x and your problem should be
solved.

Thank you!!!! I've been trying everything for a week. I've had these
symptoms plus a couple others, but I could not see how they were related, &
still would not have guessed a expired APC Java certificate caused the
problem. Thanks again.
