Hi,
I'm trying to configurate a windows 2000 router with 2 NIC, 2 lans and
internet. The 2 LANs can see each other correctly, but only one LAN have
internet access the other has not.

heres the setup:

Internet GW

IP : 192.168.1.253

Msk :255.255.255.0

|

Client1 : IP: 192.168.1.248

| GW : 192.168.1.240

|

192.168.1.240

GW: 192.168.1.253

Windows 2000 Router (with RRAS enabled)

192.168.2.13

GW: blank

|

|

Client 2

IP: 192.168.2.200

GW: 192.168.2.13

The Client1 can ping Client2 and can browse the internet The Client2 can
ping Client1 but CANNOT browse the internet

What is happening?

Thanks

Do you have admin access to the Internet router? If you do the easiest
way to solve your problem is to add a static route to that router eg

Internet router
192.168.1.253 (static route 192.168.2.0 255.255.255.0 192.168.1.240)
|
clients
192.168.1.x dg 192.168.1.253
|
192.168.1.240 dg 192.168.1.253
RRAS
192.168.2.13 dg blank
|
clients
192.168.2.x dg 192.168.2.13

Both subnets will then have Internet access and route internally.
Default routing gets traffic to the Internet router from either subnet. The
static route on the Internet router redirects traffic for the internal
subnet to the RRAS router for delivery.

Then you are really up against it. You could set up NAT on the server
which would give you Internet access and access to machines in 192.168.1.0,
but the machines in 192.168.1.0 would not be able to access machines in
192.168.2.0 (because they are on the public side of the NAT router).
