Windows 2000 Professional - Service Pack 4

I have the blaster virus and had to install service pack
4 before downloading the patch from Microsoft site.

After installing service pack 4 I try and start windows
2000 but it continues to hang on start up.

Any ideas how to fix this?

Ok, SP4 and the patch will not get rid of the virus. You should have
cleaned the virus first using one of the tools available from Symantec or
whoever.

As for fixing SP4, can you get into safe mode? If so, maybe you can
uninstall SP4 until you can figure out the problem.
