Windows 2000 Pro Logon Loop

Chad Brown

I have a Windows 2000 Professional computer that runs in
a loop at the Logon. I type in the password and then I
see "Loading Personal Settings." and then I'm back at the
Logon Promt. I have tried all boot options to with no
luck. Any suggestions would be appretiated.

You may have a corrupt profile. Try to logon as a different user if possible. If that
does not help and you say you have tried safe mode, I suggest you boot from install
cdrom and try a repair installation selecting the fast repair option. Let setup
proceed to the point it will ask you if you want to do a new installation or repair
an existing installation at which time you want to select option to repair. ---
