Windows 2000 login problem

Long story short, first attempt at a login hangs, if I use task manager to
log out and back in, it is successful. I re-built the machine with a fresh
install of Win2K and the same thing is still happening. Anyone have any
ideas?

Hi Brian,

Is this happening on network longons only. How about local logins does the
machine hangs here too.

Check if you have a group policy implemented.

This is happening on local logins. I am not connecting to a domain or
workgroup.
