I administer a 3 small networks using Windows 2000 server and 2000
workstations.
2 of the networks use Mandatory user profile's stored on the local PC and
the other uses a Mandatory user profile stored on the server. On the locally
stored PC's I keep getting the following error message followed by "cannot
load your profile*

Windows cannot copy file C:\Documents and Settings\user.man\Local
Settings\Temporary Internet
Files\Content.IE5\4L6FOPMN\bands;dcove=o;art=ciara;gen=hip_hop_rap;pagename=artist;gateway=bands;section_1=az;section_2=ciara;zyg=;span=;demo=;era=;bps=vhigh;fla=6;sz=120x600;tile=2;ord[1].gif
to location C:\Documents and Settings\user\Local Settings\Temporary Internet
Files\Content.IE5\4L6FOPMN\bands;dcove=o;art=ciara;gen=hip_hop_rap;pagename=artist;gateway=bands;section_1=az;section_2=ciara;zyg=;span=;demo=;era=;bps=vhigh;fla=6;sz=120x600;tile=2;ord[1].gif. Contact your network administrator.

Deleting the temp User profile (copy of the mandatory profile) created when
users login solves the problem, but it soon returns. The problem does not
occur on network where the profile is stored on the server. Can anyone help
with this problem.

Hi Gaz,

I have seen problems with files of this type, and this one in
particular starting with 'bands;dcove' On my system I have had these
files, and you cannot delete them from the file system. The only way I
found to get rid of the file, was to start in safe mode and rename the
file, then delete it.

all the best

Simon
