Windows 2000 loading

I have an Inspirion 3500 Series dell notebook that supports Windows 2000.
The Windows 2000 does not load on my computer. In the beginning, when I turn
it on the computer states that it is loading Windows 2000, it is making an
attempt to do so, yet it turns on and off. I get a blank screen and then it
turns off and on again. the note book did this over over an hour yesterday.
I finally turned off and gave up. Any suggestions?

I am not sure what you mean. I do not know what a working op sys is. I
think the computer has crashed.

A working Op sys is a Operarting System that worked. In other words you didn't have troubles at one time. Ever happen?

I did not have trouble before. I do have a refurbished laptop. I think its
days are over.
