windows 2000 can not detected my WD160GB IDE HDD

I'm using Windows 2000, when i add on the WD160GB HDD.
But the window 2000 only deleted my HDD only 128GB. I'm
try to use Partition Magic to create the 160GB, but just a
few time the window 2000 will pormpt it will be lose data,
and then change it to 128GB.
But i try to change the window 2000 to XP version, Window
XP can be detected my HDD is 160GB.

Any People know how to solve this problem.

Advise exists that the new disk be completely Formated after the patch is
applied rather than simply creating a new partition in the spare space - you
can do this in disk management, no need to use PM - to prevent any data
corruption/loss.
