windows 2000 and dos programs

I currently run a very old dos based database program
called Dataease on windows 98. My question is really
quite simple: will this dos program run on windows 2000,
and, if so, are there any known problems?

If you can't contact the developer to ask then you'll just have to try it.
You might try application compatibility mode.

From the "Run" box
regsvr32 %windir%\AppPatch\slayerui.dll
to enable application compatibility mode.
